MisVord is a Discord clone built on a custom PHP framework I wrote from scratch, inspired by Laravel, with its own migrations, ORM, error handling, and logging.
It implements a REST API with MVC and the Repository Pattern, plus real-time features: video calls over VideoSDK, chat over Socket.IO, and bot functionality. Tested end-to-end with Playwright.
A full study in building framework-level infrastructure, not just an app on top of one.
Outcome: 3 stars, full custom framework.
