Interns in the School of Computer Science industry program file a learning plan, fill a daily log book and submit monthly and final reports here. Company supervisors approve through emailed links, lecturers review their own students, and the Enrichment team handles edit requests, extensions and scores from the admin side.
The codebase dates from 2020 and was inherited. The API moved from Laravel 7 to Laravel 13 one version at a time, checked against a snapshot harness that replays 126 endpoints for four roles and expects byte identical responses. Batching N+1 queries and adding indexes cut the queries in that suite by 30 percent.
The frontend got a new app shell, search and per column filters on every table, skeleton loading, and tables that turn into cards on phones. A Playwright smoke suite visits the main pages for each role, and the API now runs on PHP 8.3 in Docker, deployed by a self hosted runner.
Outcome: Laravel 7 to 13.
