Result
In daily use by Enrichment interns

Interns clock in and out from their phones. An admin or classroom screen shows a six digit code that the server replaces every ten seconds and pushes over Socket.IO, and a check in only counts when the code is current and the phone is within the allowed distance of the chosen BINUS campus.

Sign in goes through the Binusian login with a local fallback, and only students allocated to the current semester get in. Admins add students, assign NIMs to a semester in bulk and download Excel recaps by month, by month range or by date range, with weekends, holidays and late arrivals marked.

The first version was written by another intern in 2025. Later work moved the student allowlist and the semesters out of hardcoded arrays into the database, added the date range export and student names to every export, and closed the gaps found in a security review. The socket now checks the session, check ins are bound to a device, and logging out revokes old tokens.

Outcome: In daily use by Enrichment interns.
